The system can be used with any number of workstations; either connected together on-line, stand alone, or any combination. Most computer systems require a Local Area Network (LAN) and/or Server computer to operate and cannot function without it. This is often called On-Line or Multi-User processing. We fully support this mode while also offering automatic fall back operations.

Operator training is both quick and simple with ease of use facilities like, point and click, visual indicators, pop up tips and on-line task sensitive help providing you with a smooth and rapid transition to using Acumen in your business. The system is developed in and for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems and fully supports their user-friendly interface. Being a true Windows product it is fully integrated with Microsoft Office for interaction with Word, Excel, Graph, Access, and many other Windows facilities.

Acumen is available in only a single version for both local on-line or distributed application. It comes as a completely optioned system with full forward and backward integration, not as a number of separate programs that you put together to build up a package with limited interaction between the subsystems. You may use as much or as little of the Acumen system as your business requires either by starting later in the information chain, or by skipping over those facilities that are not applicable to your business.
